Hello and welcome to my website. My name is Sylwia, I am a Qualified Counsellor and Registered Nurse.
I am a registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I offer both short and long term counselling and psychotherapy for adults.
I can provide both telephone and video link counselling which allows you to discuss any issues you may have from the comfort of your own home.
My priority is to provide a safe, confidential and non-judgmental approach for you to explore your problems and concerns.

My nursing background and counselling work has given me experience in a broad range of issues.
**I have over 20 years combined experience working with addictions both as a Counsellor and Registered Nurse in the NHS and abroad.
I have experience working as an Addiction Counsellor employed by Catalyst, a Drug and Alcohol Addiction Service based in Guildford (formerly known as SAdAS).
As a practising Addiction Counsellor, I provide support for people dealing with a wide range of addictions (alcohol, drugs, gambling, shopping) and also for their families, carers and concerned friends. I am very experienced in Relapse Prevention.
**I have experience counselling people suffering from anxiety, panic attacks, depression, anger issues (including aggressive behaviour and offending), low self-esteem, lack of confidence, lack of identity, stress, bereavement, relationship issues, medically unexplained symptoms and trauma.
**I also have experience working with issues surrounding Domestic Abuse.I was employed by the local Domestic Abuse Service to provide counselling for those suffering from Domestic Abuse.
**I have provided counselling for young homeless females at risk during my employment at a local hostel and I also worked as a counsellor with young people at the local charity for homeless people.
**In addition I have training and experience facilitating and co-facilitating therapy group sessions while under the employment at the NHS Detox and Therapy Unit covering topics including: Relapse Prevention, Stress Management, Anger Management, Anxiety Management, Self- Awareness and Assertiveness.
**In my clinical role, I have experience working with people suffering from Dementia and those in palliative care , providing support for their families and carers.
**I have also had experience working with university students.
As a register member of BACP and Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) I abide by their code of professional conduct.
